Afghanistan & Posturing Generals

Yesterday the media had stories about 4000 U.S. troops going to Afghanistan. The Associated Press was one of the news vendors publishing the possibility. Mad Magazine did not carry the story. Mad does original comedy and does not write about naturally occurring comedy in our foreign policy missteps. After all we have been fighting and losing in Afghanistan for over 16 years. Our Secretary of Defense and retired four star Marine General James "Mad Dog " Mattis talked about the American surge recently in Congressional testimony. The Mad Dog nickname could be a clue in future on how to deal humanely with career bred killers. Mattis looks to me as a classic posturing general with enough scrap medal on his chest to keep a homeless scavenger in fixings for a day.Ever hear of a general losing his life in combat?Any generals die from nerve gas, nuclear blasts, Agent Orange part of collateral damage due to cruise missile attacks into an urban area, friendly fire---boy if there was ever a euphemism of Homeric proportions-- or other ways of dying or losing parts or use of ones body that are too many to list here? I certainly have not. The generals move avatars around on a graphics screen coming up with sure fire plans on tactical moves that will prevail over the enemy. The generals are not on the ground with nothing between their body and mortality against an Afghani who just wants to hold on to what little he or she has in life. The strutting generals claim to be bound and committed to duty that protects us here in America.Sixteen years later we lose soldiers, equipment and treasure as a daily occurrence. So the generals are not doing their avowed duty. If they were dong their duty some would die. But the generals are probably teeing up a Titleist rather aiming at a Taliban. If you want war fight in the war.The generals and the politicians are not stepping up. I suggest NO WAR WITHOUT A NATIONAL REFERENDUM. Send the war mongers to the golf course permanently.

Afghanistan MOAB: Generals Sacrifice

Little did any one expect there was yet another bomb target in Afghanistan. After fifteen years of a lost war that began with the beginning of the war we dropped the MOAB.The acronym represents "Mother of all bombs". Please note yet another acronym. Our military barbarians can barely speak in compelling prose so they have come up with an abundance of acronyms that they can easily grunt. The specs on the MOAB include: Boeing made, 30 feet long, weighs 21000 pounds, satilite guided, deployed by parachute, detonates 6 feet above the ground with a 1 mile radius impact which includes hundreds of feet below the surface destruction. The target was branded as an ISIS tunnel city. No doubt any one that lives in a cave/tunnel city is by definition a throw away person. So instead of spending the $300 million development costs own our own infrastructure we choose this monstrosity. By the way the insects, reptiles , flora and fauna that were collateral damage along with the throw away people must be tallied as innocents lost to posturing generals at the pentagon. Posturing didn't help Alexander The Great. Nor Genghis Khan nor British Empire, nor Soviet Union, nor Nato who have mostly left years ago. Nor will it help struggling America in its quest for respect on the world scene. To hear the generals sum up the box scores of the aftermath of MOABS brief day in the sun it was successful. Success is measured by killing throw away people in their own meager country? But generals want peace they claim. And they claim persistence in that quest.Well. If sincere why don't they draw straws and strap one general onto one MOAB at a time to prove their sincerity.

ISIS & Heavy Metal In Paris: Motive And Opportunity

Heavy metal in Paris.Eagles Of Death Metal were playing in Paris at the Bataclan Hall to a sold out audience.Enter ISIS. In less than an hour over 300 were dead or wounded.Motive? Heavy metal music by itself could of been the reason. But ISIS claims the attack was revenge for French bombing in Syria.Turnabout is fair play.Opportunity? France is most liberal country in European Union.Consequently their borders and policies are open to all.Rethink both those policies.France didn't call in an airstrike on Bataclan like they might of done in Aleppo or Homs, Syria.Too much expensive real estate and collateral death possibilities in downtown Paris. So what will be the French response? More bombing in Syria? What's left to bomb? It's almost an asteroid now.Last count estimated six to eight ISIS operatives carried off this coup. Probably the whole enterprise cost couple of thousand dollars and the lives of 6-8 throw away people.France's immediate losses ramp into the millions on top of years of peace keeping/bombing runs in Middle East. You do the math.It wont work as a business nor a winning war strategy.ISIS in Middle East has short inexpensive logistics. They are fighting in their homelands.Extermination by the West?We can't kill that fast nor that expansively. We in U.S. experienced 9/11? Did we learn? No.

Islamist Terrorist Roots

How many bombs has the U.S. dropped in the Middle East and Afghanistan? Certainly hundreds of thousands.Never mind to try an estimate of small arms , tank shelling, mortars and the like. That surely runs into the millions. So why are there still Islamist terrorists?Because most of those expended ordinance missed its human targets and ended up just degrading urban infrastructure. So we took away places to live and work. Without housing there are no roots. so homeless refugees hit the road in search of a place in the sun.More bombs less housing more freebooters looking for roots. And so it goes. At some point there will be no buildings. That will leave only migrating herds of homeless people with weapons who have nothing to lose. They will fight the U.S.who has a lot to lose. It will end badly for us.

Afghanistan: Where Does All The Money Go?

Whoopee we get to stay in Afghanistan? Such a deal! Or is it ? Yesterday the American ambassador signed a formal agreement with Afghan leaders to allow U.S. troops to stay in that war torn country for at least another 3 years. We have been in that country since 2001.We invaded Afghanistan because Osama bin Laden and some of his al qaeda associates were found to be hiding out there. We invaded the whole country. It's like there is a group of a couple dozen bad guys in Oakland but a foreign power invades America to teach them a lesson.Stupid? Let's use "Pentagon" instead of "stupid". It means the same thing. Think about this . The Pentagon has budgeted $85 Billion for one year in Afghanistan. We will have approximately 10,000 of our own troops stationed there. A soldiers salary runs between $18,000-$34,000 per year. There are other expenses. The Pentagon has to feed, clothe, arm, medicate, transport etc. It adds up.But if you divide 10,000 into the $85 Billion you come up with an average of $8.5 Million per American service personnel.Where does all that extra money go? It goes for nothing. We lost in Afghanistan yet we throw more money at that losing cause. But someone is smiling big time.My guess that in a pretty short time Pentagon supplied equipment will end up in the hands of the "enemy" who will either use it or resell it.The Pentagon is stupid and we are stupid for thinking they know more than we do.

WMD: Weapons Of Mass Destruction OR War Of Mass Deception?

Today the Pentagon is reporting a possible killing of Khorasan master planner Mohsin Al-Fadhii. He's the guy who the Pentagon allege is connected to a possible plot for attacks on America and France.Pentagon says Moshin was on motor bike when the F-16 unloaded Hellfire missile.Motorbike? Probably was stolen. So no cost. F-16 cost approximately $20 million.Hellfire missile cost about $70K each. And those costs don't include shipping. Aircraft carriers cost million per day to operate. And all those contractor bills! My god they would sink that carrier. So a quick look at the books show it may have cost the U.S.approximately a million to kill that terrorist. It wont add up.The cost is too expensive. The guy on the bike can be replaced instantly at hardly any cost. Steal another bike! Whereas our cost will be so expensive we will have to borrow from the world. Which we will repay with fiat money which will leave foreign creditors holding worthless bonds because deflation will bankrupt debtor America. To paraphrase Civil War Admiral David Farragut at the Battle of Mobile Bay, "Damn the cost fire those Hellfire Missiles." This is not a war about mass destruction. It's war about about mass deception about the threat and the unbearable cost.

Caliph Abu Bakr Al- Baghdadi Meets President Barack Obama

Last week the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) blew up the main Syrian border station between Syria and Iraq. Immediately self proclaimed Caliph Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi declared the rebirth of the historic Islamic Caliphate. The Caliphate existed before the Ottoman Empire ruled those parts of the Middle East. The Ottomans lost control of those lands to the French, British and Russians in WW I. The Sykes-Picot Agreement redrew the map of the Middle East and the rest is history. Meanwhile back in America. Our President Barack Obama who could be compared to a shoe shine boy who only stoops to polish the boots of the military-industrial complex sent in 500 "advisors" to Iraq. That number will grow as their mission will almost certainly expand to pre debacle Iraqi levels. Which means another debacle is on the way. The new Caliph could be compared to 1960's civil rights activists. They too burned and killed to get respect.Life is nothing if not ironic. Our shine boy now fights a enemy in another part of the world who share the same roots as he.

U.S. Army In Mideast :Why Do We Wear Uniforms?

We as a nation have been losing wars of choice since World War II. Many of those wars have been fought against locals who just wanted to live in their own country and didn't want us or anyone else interfering in local issues. That's are first mistake. But on top of picking local civil wars to get involved in we make another mistake. We invade these countries wearing uniforms that unmistakenly point out to the enemy who the target is. By the way, the local "enemy " doesn't wear a uniform.. So he has a distinct advantage. And so it goes. How stupid are we?

U.S. Planes Downed In Kyrgyzstan & Afghanistan Suggest Captured Syrian Hand Held Rocket Launchers Spreading

Today another U.S. plane and crew was lost. This time it happened in Kyrgyzstan. A couple of days ago under similar circumstances a plane and crew was lost in Afghanistan. Both planes were downed in take off. Coincidence? Pentagon spokesman denies enemy fire. That's not a coincidence.Denial is automatic.Syria has a huge arsenal. This arsenal includes hand held surface to air rocket launchers. Looks like captured Syrian weapons are leaking into other parts of the world.into the hands of anti- American forces.By the way, Obama and other western leaders are sending more aid to Syrian rebels. We don't have a sane foreign policy. We only have a foreign policy that guarantees profits to weapons manufacturing. We can't trust politicians

WAR SHOULD ONLY BE APPROVED BY A NATIONAL REFERENDUM.

Dick Cheney Showtime Documentary: Profile Of Misanthrope

March 15 will be the date of filmmaker R.J Cutler's Showtime airing of " The World According To Dick Cheney ". According to R.J. Cutler during the extensive preliminary conversations with the ex-VP and the actual filming of the piece,Cheney constantly made the point of not caring about his critics. One particularly blatant example was his spiteful comment , " I don't lay awake at night thinking ' gee, what are they going to say about me now?"

Hey Dick. What about criticisms from parents who lost children in your ill conceived , mismanaged and constructively illegal wars? The fact is Dick wants critics. That's why he has so many. These critics are like small triumphs of spoiling their day because his misanthropic life is so without joy. Misery loves company.

In a better world Cheney would be dead by now because of popular demand.

U.S Army: Why We Lose

Why hasn't America won a war since 1945? There are many reasons. Probably the most important reason is that subsequent to World War II, the wars were chosen. Consequently the mission was dubious. Ergo the will to win by the participating "boots on the ground" was not as strong. Why lose limbs or life for this preening politicians and blood thirsty generals war? There is an example that serves as a metaphor . The average infantryman in WW II had a rifle and 30 pounds of gear when he was in combat. It cost about $200.00 in total . Today our infantrymen in Afghanistan carry a rifle and 110 pounds of gear! Forget mobility. Forget running. Forget trotting. AND WE WEAR A UNIFORM. But our adversaries in Afghanistan DO NOT WEAR A UNIFORM. And in some cases have dinner at home . Then they grab their rifle. Kiss the mrs.  Put on civilian clothes and walk out the door . The Afghans know who the target is. We don't know until an explosion or a shot is fired. And that's too late. Why has this obvious disadvantage to the local Taliban and Afghans been allowed to continue ?

Here's a fact that may point to the answer. The cost of the full outfitting of one U.S. soldier is $ 24,000.00.
Do you think we have wars to make the military-industrial happy and wealthy?  I believe we do,

U.S. Drone Policy Invites More 9/11 Events

America's increasing use of drones around the world to kill suspected "enemies" is causing blowback. The "blue on green " killings in Afghanistan is tit for tat. Afghanis who have died from drone strike collateral damage left behind relatives who plot revenge. Drone killings in Yemen, Somalia, Pakistan and other countries that we don't yet know will strike at U.S. targets in the future. The cold blooded killers at the Pentagon think they have a deus ex machina. But in time that creation will morph into an avenging gallows and hang people in the U.S. in another 9/11 type event.

It Keeps Getting Weirder: Afghanistan Air Force

Guess what the U.S. wants to do for Afghanistan now? Here's a hint. The U.S engineers just completed an 8000 foot runway in Shindand. That was a generous clue.  If you suspect our government, who heretofore has been closing air bases in America to make room for more strip malls and housing tracks, is going to establish an Afghanistan Air Force. You guessed correctly. So here's a stone age country getting outfitted with  state of the art fighter and support aircraft from a "modern civilized country" who increasingly behaves like it is stoned. We have lost our way.

Hunger Games: It's From Hunger For Money

Occupied territories Hollywood is feasting on new substrata . What's for dinner? How about teens killing teens? This is new. Make no mistake. The book Hunger Games and now the movie depict teen atrocities. Everything is fair game. Our society isn't fit for prime time entertainment by most traditional ,sensible, value based measures. It's no wonder why people all over the planet have us in their crosshairs.

U.S. Troops Killed in Afghanistan by Afghans : The End of A Failed Foreign Policy?

Two more American troops were killed in Afghanistan today by Afghans. This adds to the approxmate 50 in the last two years that have died from targeted asasassinations by supposedl allies. It also is in addition to the seven  that have been recently killed because of the blowback from the recent Koran burning. Also implies the drone aircraft weapon that has been championed by the criminals at the C.I.A has been checkmated by a more efficient procedure. What a stupid war. What a stupid foreign policy. What a stupid leadership in the Armed Srvices. These targeted assassinations could be the end of the war and the end of dreams of empire for America. Good riddance.

"Friendly Fire": Final Solution for Israel ?

Gee. Why are the western powers shocked and upset about an Iranian mob sacking a British Embassy?  Even a worm turns. All this fuss to make the world safe for the filthy Zionists. Ain't worth a war.

But all things considered, there is a chance that another Mideast war this time against Iran could have some broader consequences. When one examines the amount of collateral damage and deaths due to friendly fire that the U.S. and NATO  have inflicted in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Somalia etc., maybe Israel could get some disastrous blows from misguided missiles? It would be a lesson about why politically correct wars are not worth it and an end to a country that shouldn't exist.

Why We Will Get Another War

The Super Committee failure to find at least $1.2 trillion in budget cuts over ten years ushers in mandatory across the board cuts in spending. The biggest cuts will be in defense.Approximately $ 60 billion per year for ten years. That's about 10% of the Pentagons spending per year. That fiscal fact along with the draw down from the losing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan will leave much of the C.I.A. and The generals twidling their thumbs. And as they say in the armed services, " War is hell but peace is a bitch". So Iran here we come. With a preemptive strike there, the sequester of defense funds will stop and were are off to the carnage again. Count on it.

The only way to stop this madness is to require a National Referendum on any war.

Hank Williams Jr.: Freedom of Speech

Poor Hank Williams Jr. The high clergy of political correctness at Fox pulled his music and his spot at the weekly football games. Why? Well he compared President Barack Obama and Speaker of the House John Boehner's recent golf pairing to the likes of Adolf Hitler and Prime Minister Netanyahu playing golf in a hypothetical setting. The point was to make the diametrical opposition of the respective men's political philosophies. Was that a rude, over-the-top comparison and unfairly critical to the president and the Zionist thug? Don't think so.

When one considers the the existing policy of preemptive war in the U.S coupled with the random drone assassinations in the east, how can we be collectively dismayed and shocked at a few words? Frankly if Hitler only killed the likes of Netanyahu-types in his purge, he would not have done such a bad thing. Williams speaks for me.

Remember Project for New American Century? PNAC for Short

Whatever happened to the Project for the New American Century? It was formed in 1999 shortly after then president Bill Clinton ordered a war of choice against Serbia. He authorized 37,000 bombing missions! Why? He said it was to stop Serbian "ethnic cleansing"of Muslims. But it probably had more to do with getting his name off the front page with super blow-job operative Monica Lewinski. Anyway the farting and belching American electorate/couch-potatoes were more interested in sub sandwiches, beers and an occasional joint while watching sports or Seinfeld. In short they didn't care or did not notice.

But social bacteria like Dick Cheney, Don Rumsfeld, Bill Kristol and fellow Zionist- strain pathogen Paul Wolfowitz along with other members of the American Enterprise Institute central casting of NEOCONS had an idea. If Clinton's barbarism in Yugoslavia didn't bother the slobs of America then why not form PNAC and take barbarism on the road? All they would need was "provocation" real or imagined. Well then came 9/11 and the rest is history. But on the way to world domination PNAC and hapless America ran into Afghanistan. The Iron Age country seems to be killing U.S. troops at will lately.

The take away lesson is money and arrogance can never beat an occupied peoples will to survive and prevail.

Rioters in London Need Flag and Advanced Arms for Credibility

What's the difference between Muslims rioting in London and the British invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan? The Brits had a flag and advanced arms which by definition made their barbarity a state sponsored legal action enforced by thoughtful lethal tools . The Muslim rioters have no flag and rely on vandalism and crude-pick up weapons.

Oh there's one more big difference. The British armed forces did more damage and killed more people.
